So many people ask me,
How do I lose weight fast? How do I burn fat fast?
How do I lose belly fat fast?
How do I build muscles fast?
Rarely anyone asks me,
How do I get lean for life? H
How do I change my lifestyle so I am always fit and healthy, full of energy, maintaining my ideal weight?
Heck, I haven’t asked myself those questions often.
Not till very recently.
And not till very recently, I started seeing improvements in all areas of my life, like solid improvements, the ones that don’t fade, the ones that stay.
Nothing dramatic and mind-blowing at the moment — I guess it’s true, that overnight success takes 10 years — but consistent.
I am consistently moving forward, patiently investing in all areas of my life a little bit more every day, taking my time, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes strong, sometimes weaker, and I see how I’m getting better, even though my ego is screaming,
“I want it all now! Go faster! You are not hustling enough! Not going hard-core enough!”
My Sports Model Competition Prep (6 weeks to go) helps me to learn how to pace myself — it’s always easier to learn anything working with physical transformation and progress, easier to track and measure, adjust.
It helps me to learn how to maintain progress, steadily moving towards my goal, one small step at a time, daily, instead of rushing like a maniac, starving and/or over-training and then falling off the wagon, and catching up again, never really moving anywhere worth going, no quality progress, no progress that leads to true wins, no progress that leads to a person I need to be to have what I want to have.
I can’t train hard core every day.
I can’t starve myself to build a winning physique.
Not for another 6 weeks — I can’t. Not for life — I can’t
Not, if I want to be a true Sports and Fitness Model, representing health and fitness as a lifestyle, not getting-shredded-for-one-moment-in-life kind of inspiration.
Burning candles at both sides is not inspirational.
It’s stupid, if you are in it for the long haul.
To build something that lasts.
Something that matters.
Something that transforms.
Today i didn't feel like my strongest self. But we dont have to feel it every day. In fact, it's impossible. But be in it for a long-term. Do your best today. Maintain focus. Show up. Long-term focus means having enogh self-knowledge and self-awareness self-compassion to allow yourself have weaker moments and still keep moving forward, taking it slower, taking it a bit easier instead of burning candle from both sides, that ego demands, pushing all the time over LONG-TERM will inevitably lead to failure.
